## TL;DR

- **564 of 216,325 domains** had a Zapiet signal in our recent scan panel. Food & Beverage and Gifts & Flowers accounted for **398 of those 564, or 70.6%**.
- Compare **scheduling, delivery eligibility and driver routing** separately. Zapiet, Pickeasy and Bird offer scheduling workflows; EasyRoutes focuses on running deliveries.
- **132 domains** carried the ambiguous label “Delivery Pickup.” A live example loaded Identixweb date-picker scripts. Do not turn that label into a vendor ranking or assume it proves local delivery.

Choose Shopify local delivery apps around the promise you need to keep: a cake ready after its preparation window, flowers delivered within a service area, or a driver completing a realistic route. A calendar, a postcode rule and a route planner each control a different part of that promise.

We paired a **216,325-domain StoreInspect study** with current Shopify documentation, app listings and a public storefront check. Research and prices were checked **October 17, 2026**. The comparison covers documented capabilities; we did not install the apps or benchmark delivery performance.

## How we collected the delivery-app data

We selected each domain's most recent full-store scan that completed successfully between **October 10 and October 16, 2026, in UTC**. The window ends at **02:00 Oslo on October 17**. We excluded records currently marked confirmed dead and required a valid app list. The **21,993 domains with an empty list stayed in the denominator**.

The extraction ran on **October 17, 2026**. It matched explicit names or slugs, deduplicated within each identity and kept ambiguous labels separate. Categories and estimated monthly traffic were joined from current store records. They are estimates and classifications, not order counts, revenue or historical measurements fixed at scan time.

This is a selected recent-scan panel, not a random Shopify sample. Public scanning can miss native delivery, private integrations, custom scheduling and backend routing. All retained scans lack a recorded detector version, and precision was not independently measured. Neither a match nor a missing match establishes active use, the merchant's plan or a service gap.

## What Shopify local delivery apps leave visible

Zapiet appeared on 564 domains. Its detector includes broad Zapiet script and widget markers, so the count does not confirm that every domain uses a particular Zapiet product or fulfillment method.

| Recorded signal | Distinct domains | What it supports |
|---|---:|---|
| [Zapiet](https://apps.shopify.com/click-and-collect) | **564** | A Zapiet storefront marker to investigate |
| [Zapiet Eats](https://support.zapiet.com/eats/en/articles/10501666-compare-zapiet-eats-and-zapiet-pickup-delivery) | **1** | A separately named restaurant-product signal |
| Delivery Pickup | **132** | An unattributed scheduling-related label requiring inspection |
| Estimated Delivery Date | **1,624** | A generic delivery-date marker, excluded from local-delivery vendor counts |

These rows overlap. One domain had both Zapiet and Delivery Pickup. We also found six Zapiet Product Options signals, five overlapping Zapiet; we did not add those six as delivery-app installs. A shared vendor name is insufficient to determine the product.

### Food and flowers are useful research cohorts

| Store category | Panel domains | Zapiet signals | Within-category match rate |
|---|---:|---:|---:|
| [Food & Beverage](/top-shopify-stores/food) | 13,483 | **310** | **2.30%** |
| Gifts & Flowers | 10,567 | **88** | **0.83%** |
| [Home & Garden](/top-shopify-stores/home) | 24,818 | **43** | **0.17%** |
| [Fashion](/top-shopify-stores/fashion) | 54,712 | **37** | **0.07%** |

Food and gifts/flowers made up **398/564 = 70.6%** of the Zapiet-signal group. For an agency investigating preparation times or scheduled fulfillment, those categories provide a more focused starting point than a broad list of fashion stores. That is a research priority inferred from the observed mix, not evidence that the merchants need a new app.

Of the 564 Zapiet matches, **532** were in the estimated under-50K monthly-visit tier, **28** at 50K–200K and **four** at 200K–1M. The remaining 36 panel domains at 1M+ had no match. Traffic does not tell us how many local orders a merchant fulfills, and those small upper groups cannot establish enterprise adoption.

### A live date-picker example: Floof Cotton Candy

Our October 16 scan of **floofcc.com** contained both Delivery Pickup and the generic Estimated Delivery Date label. On **October 17**, its public homepage asked shoppers to select a delivery date and loaded three Identixweb order-delivery-date scripts.

The store's [FAQ](https://floofcc.com/pages/faq) described selecting an arrival date and receiving the product on or before it. That establishes a date-sensitive customer promise. It does not establish a local delivery radius, driver routing or which app plan the merchant pays for.

The example changes how we use the 132-label cohort: inspect the actual delivery offer before attributing a vendor or pitching local logistics. We viewed public pages only; we did not add a product, enter checkout or test an order.

## When native Shopify local delivery is enough

Start with [Shopify's native local-delivery settings](https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/fulfillment/setup/delivery-methods/local-delivery) when you need eligibility by postal code or radius, a minimum order and a delivery charge. Shopify currently documents **up to 10 zones per location**, a **160 km/100-mile maximum radius** and **three additional price-based rules per zone**.

Check the native eligibility conditions before buying an app to fix a missing option. All physical items must be deliverable from one location, with sufficient inventory there. The address must qualify and be verifiable. Shopify says local delivery works with Shop Pay; choosing another accelerated method at the first checkout step can prevent it appearing.

A native delivery zone does not by itself answer your preparation-time, customer-slot or driver-dispatch requirements. Write down the missing behavior, then evaluate that behavior in an app trial. Shopify also warns that third-party shipping apps can conflict with native local delivery.

For parcel labels, carrier tracking and outsourced fulfillment, use our separate [Shopify shipping-app guide](/blog/best-shopify-shipping-apps). A [store locator](/blog/shopify-store-locator-apps) helps people find a location; it does not reserve a pickup slot.

## Compare Shopify local delivery apps by job and plan

These are **USD monthly listing prices checked October 17, 2026**. Feature placement, allowances and additional fees matter more than a starting price. The source links are each vendor's Shopify App Store listing.

| App | Workflow worth evaluating | Displayed entry plan and relevant limits |
|---|---|---|
| [Zapiet Pickup + Delivery](https://apps.shopify.com/click-and-collect) | Coordinating pickup, delivery and shipping across fulfillment locations | Essential **$49.99/month**: one location, 250 orders/month. Advanced **$79.99**: up to 10 locations, 1,000 orders, product preparation/date restrictions and order limits. 14-day trial. |
| [Pickeasy](https://apps.shopify.com/order-delivery-date-time) | Preparation times, cutoffs, blocked dates and product-specific scheduling | Free: one pickup/delivery location, **10 orders/month**, slots, order limits and postcode validation. Starter **$9.99** adds product preparation/availability rules; Smart **$19.99** lists up to four locations and additional rate controls. |
| [Bird](https://apps.shopify.com/store-pickup-and-delivery-date) | Pickup/delivery/shipping calendars with order management | Free: **10 orders/month**, one location, date/time slots, cutoffs and preparation time. Essential **$19.99**: 250 orders and postcode validation. Growth **$49.99**: 1,000 orders, one to four locations, product preparation times and daily order limits. |
| [EasyRoutes](https://apps.shopify.com/easyroutes) | Route planning, assigning drivers and managing deliveries | Free: **50 orders/month**. Standard **$39/month**, with additional driver seats at $39 each. Premium **$59**, additional seats at $59 each, adds proof of delivery and live driver tracking; SMS is usage-based. |

### Choose scheduling for the rules customers must follow

For a bakery, compare how each app combines a product's preparation time, the day's cutoff and the remaining slot capacity. A visible calendar is insufficient if it still lets customers select tomorrow for an item needing two days of work.

Pickeasy's free listing already includes slot limits, while its paid tiers add product-specific rules. Zapiet places product preparation times and order limits in Advanced. Bird's Growth listing includes product-level preparation times and daily limits. Confirm the exact limit you need: a daily cap and a cap for each time slot are different controls.

For a restaurant needing menus, dine-in ordering or table reservations, [Zapiet's product comparison](https://support.zapiet.com/eats/en/articles/10501666-compare-zapiet-eats-and-zapiet-pickup-delivery) distinguishes Eats from Pickup + Delivery. It says Eats does not support national shipping and warns against using both products together. Evaluate the restaurant workflow separately from a retail catalog with parcel shipping.

### Choose routing for the work after an order arrives

EasyRoutes documents route optimization, driver dispatch and delivery tracking. Its paid billing depends on driver seats, so compare the number of drivers you actually need alongside order volume.

For example, **two Premium seats at the displayed $59 rate cost $118/month**, before usage-based SMS or another scheduling app. This is arithmetic from the listed seat price, not a merchant invoice or a delivery-cost estimate.

A scheduling app and a routing app can be complementary. [Zapiet lists EasyRoutes and LionWheel integrations](https://support.zapiet.com/en/articles/6279795-compatibility-guide). Verify that the selected date, time window, location and delivery instructions reach the route workflow correctly.

## What to test before rolling out pickup and delivery

Run these checks in your own trial or staging store, using the theme, cart drawer and payment paths customers actually use:

1. **Eligibility:** Try an address inside the service area, outside it and on the boundary. Check the location holding the stock and the resulting delivery fee.
2. **Timing:** Try an order before and after cutoff, a blocked holiday, a product with a longer preparation time and the last available slot.
3. **Mixed baskets:** Combine pickup-only, delivery-only and shippable products. Establish what the merchant wants to allow before testing the result.
4. **Alternate purchase paths:** Check product-page purchase buttons, the cart drawer, accelerated payment and any subscription renewal workflow used by the store. Confirm whether the required placement needs a particular Shopify or app plan.
5. **Changes and handoff:** Reschedule or cancel a test order. Confirm capacity is released and the kitchen, shop team or route planner receives the change.
6. **Customer communication:** Compare the selected promise with confirmations, dispatch messages and the actual delivery status. Check for contradictory or duplicate notifications.

These are evaluation steps, not tests we performed on the listed products. Zapiet's compatibility guide marks Shopify's native pickup/delivery combination as not recommended alongside its app. Avoid running overlapping fulfillment rules without confirming the supported configuration.

## Use the findings to qualify agency prospects

Start with food or flower businesses whose public offer actually includes scheduled fulfillment. Open the delivery information, inspect the selection path and record the scan date before deciding what to investigate.

You can use [StoreInspect](/) to narrow store research by category and visible app signals, then check current behavior. A missing marker is insufficient grounds for “you need local delivery.” A useful observation would be a verified mismatch between the store's stated preparation policy and the dates it allows customers to choose.

Ask about order volume, full slots, failed deliveries and staff handling time before estimating value. Those operational facts determine whether the next project is scheduling configuration, a routing integration or clearer delivery information. ## FAQ

### Does Shopify support local delivery without an app?

Yes. Shopify provides native local-delivery settings based on postal codes or radius, with minimum orders and delivery prices. Check location, inventory, address and payment-path eligibility before adding software.

### Which Shopify local delivery app is best for a bakery or florist?

Shortlist Zapiet, Pickeasy and Bird against your product preparation times, cutoff rules, slot capacity and location needs. Our panel's food/flower concentration helps identify relevant examples to research; it does not prove a winner. Compare the exact required paid plan and trial the full order workflow.

### Is a delivery-date picker also a route planner?

Do not assume so. Selecting an arrival date and assigning stops to a driver are separate tasks. Check the app's documented routing features or a supported routing integration such as the Zapiet/EasyRoutes combination.

### Does the study count every local-delivery app installation?

No. It counts specified public signals in a recent selected panel. Native, backend, custom and untracked workflows can be missed. The generic Delivery Pickup label was not attributed to a vendor, and the Zapiet signal does not confirm a particular product or enabled service.
