## TL;DR

- Our recent **216,325-domain** panel contained **28 matching order-change signals**: Orderify 22, Codify Order Edit five and T Order Cancellable Reorder one. This is public visibility, not installation share.
- **22 of the 28 matches, or 78.6%, were Orderify**. Its current listing says editing first cancels the original order and reloads the items into a cart. Check that this is the workflow you want.
- Compare the **editing method, fulfillment cutoff and billing unit**. A price based on total store orders cannot be compared directly with an allowance based on editing actions.

Shopify order editing apps can change an existing order, send a shopper through cancellation and another cart, or expose a cancellation request. Those differences affect payments, stock and what reaches your warehouse.

We checked recent StoreInspect observations, a live merchant policy and current primary documentation to separate those jobs. **Data extraction, storefront verification and prices are dated October 17, 2026**. We did not install these apps, access customer orders or measure support savings.

## How we collected the order-editing data

The study selected each stored domain's most recent full-store scan that completed successfully during **October 10–16, 2026, in UTC**. The window ends at **02:00 Oslo on October 17**. We excluded records currently marked confirmed dead and required a valid app list, retaining **21,993 domains with empty lists** in the denominator.

We matched seven explicit app-name/slug groups and deduplicated each domain within a group. All scans lacked a recorded detector version. Categories and estimated traffic came from current store records; they are not measured orders, revenue or historical values fixed at scan time.

Public scans can miss order-status extensions, customer-account apps, helpdesk actions and private integrations. The panel is a selected recent-scan group, not a random Shopify sample. Detector precision and recall were not independently measured. A missing signature cannot establish a missing editing workflow.

## What Shopify order editing apps leave visible

| Recorded identity | Distinct domains | What to investigate |
|---|---:|---|
| [Orderify](https://apps.shopify.com/orderify) | **22** | Its documented cancel-and-reload-cart editing model |
| [Codify Order Edit](https://apps.shopify.com/codify-order-edit) | **5** | Eligible item and shipping-address updates before fulfillment |
| [T Order Cancellable Reorder](https://apps.shopify.com/t-order-cancellable-reorder) | **1** | Cancellation and reordering, rather than assuming an item editor |

The union is **28 domains**, with no overlap between the seven selected groups. Rules for OrderEditing.com, Cleverific, Revize and AE Order Editing returned zero matches. Those zeros describe this extraction's visibility. They do not mean the vendors have no customers or that the other 216,297 domains need an editor.

Orderify accounts for **22/28 = 78.6%** of these observations. Its [listing](https://apps.shopify.com/orderify) explicitly describes canceling the original order and returning its items to a shopping cart for editing. That is a material choice when comparing it with an app that modifies the original order. The count does not prove how any individual merchant has configured the product.

### A small cohort needs small conclusions

| Estimated monthly visits | Panel domains | Matching order-change signal |
|---|---:|---:|
| Under 50K | 209,942 | **21** |
| 50K–200K | 4,964 | **4** |
| 200K–1M | 1,383 | **3** |
| 1M+ | 36 | **0** |

Eight matches were categorized as Fashion and four as Food & Beverage. Only two of the 28 also matched our finite Gorgias, Tidio, Zendesk, Re:amaze or Intercom name list. Neither result proves that the other stores lack support, need editing software or have a particular ticket volume.

Use these records to find examples to inspect. Do not turn a sparse storefront footprint into a list of merchants without order-management tools.

### Babyletto: the policy adds context the script cannot

Our **October 16** Babyletto scan contained Orderify. On **October 17**, its public [shipping page](https://babyletto.com/pages/shipping) loaded two Orderify scripts. We opened its cancellation/modification section and read a policy describing a generally **one-hour cancellation window**, review of later requests and an email route for cancellation requests. It also warned that warehouse processing could prevent cancellation and excluded immediately fulfilled gift cards.

The script and policy answer different questions: one shows a public vendor asset; the other tells shoppers what the merchant says they may do. Neither verifies a customer-account editor, automatic approval or the actual behavior for a paid order.

We did not sign in, place an order, submit a request or test a cancellation. Before proposing a replacement, ask the merchant how its editing controls and published policy fit together.

## Start with native Shopify order changes

[Shopify's admin order editor](https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/fulfillment/managing-orders/editing-orders) lets staff add or remove eligible products, change quantities, adjust shipping fees and manage item discounts. An increased total can require collecting payment; a decreased total can require a refund.

Shopify also documents [self-serve return and cancellation requests](https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/fulfillment/managing-orders/returns/self-serve-returns/setup) through customer accounts, including access via the accounts URL. Its [cancellation rules](https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/fulfillment/managing-orders/returns/return-rules) control request eligibility and timing for unfulfilled items.

A customer request, a staff-side edit and a shopper changing a variant themselves are distinct requirements. Define which one you need before buying an app.

[Native editing considerations](https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/fulfillment/managing-orders/editing-orders/considerations) matter too: you cannot remove fulfilled items or adjust their quantity, imported/app-created orders have restrictions, and connected apps might fail to recognize an edit. Shopify specifically warns that a fulfillment app could still ship an item removed from the order.

## Compare Shopify order editing apps by method and cost

These **USD monthly prices were checked October 17, 2026** against the linked primary sources. They are displayed plan terms, not invoices or performance results. Confirm current eligibility, integration access and overage definitions for your store.

| App | Documented workflow | Listed price and billing unit |
|---|---|---|
| [Orderify](https://apps.shopify.com/orderify) | Customer cancellation/reordering; editing cancels the original order and reloads its items in a cart | **$4.99** for the listing's Basic-plan tier; **$8.99** Shopify, **$24.99** Advanced, **$99.99** Plus. Each lists unlimited usage and a 30-day trial. Confirm how the listing's plan labels map to your current Shopify plan. |
| [Codify Order Edit](https://apps.shopify.com/codify-order-edit) | Customers change eligible variants, quantities and shipping-address fields within merchant rules | Standard **$4.99/month**, unlimited edits and a 14-day trial. Listing describes edit deadlines, exclusions and optional automatic refunds when totals decrease. |
| [Cleverific](https://apps.shopify.com/edit-order) | Customer self-service and merchant editing/creation tools, with post-purchase offers | Growth **$59/month** includes 100 order edits, new or draft orders; Professional **$119** includes 400. Editing overages apply; upsells are **$1 per conversion**. 14-day trial. |
| [OrderEditing.com](https://apps.shopify.com/order-editing) | Self-service changes and post-purchase offers on the original order | **$99/month** at the displayed 100–2,500 total-order band; **$199** at 2,500–5,000. Unlimited editing within the plan; optional address validation has per-order charges. Confirm band boundaries and which orders count. |
| [Revize](https://revize.app/pricing) | Customer editing with configurable deadlines; broader product/payment actions at higher tiers | Free: **20 edits/month**. Starter **$49**, unlimited edits. Pro **$149** adds product swaps/add-ons, shipping upgrades, store-credit refunds and other rules. Check the required feature tier, not just the edit allowance. |

### Choose an editing method before comparing subscriptions

If the original order must remain intact for your warehouse, reporting or support workflow, make that a trial requirement. For cancel-and-reorder, check the abandoned replacement-cart case, refund timing, inventory availability and whether the shopper must pay again. For changes to the original order, check how extra payment and removed items are represented downstream.

Codify's narrower update scope may cover a simple variant/address requirement. Revize distinguishes quantity/variant changes from broader Pro product swaps and add-ons. Cleverific combines editing actions with new/draft-order allowances. Confirm the exact action and its plan rather than treating every row as an identical editor.

These are documented candidates, not a reliability ranking. Our query does not establish which has the better customer experience or more complete warehouse integration.

### Keep total orders, edits and upsell conversions separate

OrderEditing.com's quoted bands use store order volume. Cleverific's quoted allowance covers editing and order-creation actions. Revize's free limit counts edits; its paid tiers remove that edit limit. Orderify's displayed pricing varies by Shopify plan.

Use your own monthly store orders, eligible change requests, editing actions and upsell conversions to obtain quotes. For example, **100 upsell conversions at Cleverific's listed $1 each** would add **$100** to the applicable subscription and editing overages. This is a cost illustration, not measured revenue, profit or support savings.

## Check the warehouse handoff before enabling self-service

An editing window needs to fit the point when your fulfillment system can still accept changes. A 30-minute customer window is insufficient if the warehouse locks an order after five minutes. Those timings are an illustration, not measured vendor behavior.

Test these cases on your own trial or staging store:

1. **Address correction:** Verify the order and fulfillment-system address, shipping eligibility, any label already created and the customer confirmation.
2. **Variant or quantity change:** Check stock reservation, an unavailable replacement, discounts and whether added items wait for any required payment.
3. **Cancellation:** Check the edit deadline, exclusions, warehouse hold/release, refund status and duplicate notifications. A cancellation request is not proof the shipment has stopped.
4. **Payment edge cases:** Try an increase, decrease, failed extra payment and expired payment request using your supported payment methods.
5. **Partial fulfillment:** Confirm what can change after one item ships and what the customer sees for the remaining items.
6. **Connected workflows:** Check your actual 3PL, subscription, bundle, preorder and support integrations. Verify the final order in both systems rather than relying on the presence of an integration logo.

Record the allowed action, cutoff and resulting state in each system. The [shipping guide](/blog/best-shopify-shipping-apps) covers fulfillment and tracking choices; the [returns guide](/blog/best-shopify-returns-apps) covers the separate workflow once products have shipped or arrived. For scheduled orders, also check whether changes release or consume the correct [pickup or delivery capacity](/blog/shopify-local-delivery-apps).

## Use the study for better agency research

Start with the merchant's published order-change policy and actual support categories. [StoreInspect](/) can help you identify stores and inspect visible app signals, but a zero-match filter is not a list of stores with no editor.

Babyletto illustrates a useful question: how do the published cancellation route, customer-account options and warehouse cutoff work together? Answer it before proposing automation. Ask about request volume, staff handling time, blocked changes and exceptions before estimating savings.

If the merchant already uses a suitable editor, the useful project may be policy alignment, a warehouse integration or clearer status messages. Our [support-app study](/blog/best-shopify-customer-support-apps) explains why a public widget alone cannot establish the whole support process.

## FAQ

### Can customers edit Shopify orders without an app?

Shopify documents staff-side order editing and customer-account cancellation requests. Identify whether you need a request, an admin action or customer-controlled address/item changes. Verify the currently available native workflow before adding a specialist.

### Does Orderify edit the original order?

Its current listing says the editing flow first cancels the original order and reloads the items into a shopping cart. Evaluate that flow against your payment, inventory and fulfillment requirements.

### Which Shopify order editing app is cheapest?

The displayed Orderify Basic tier and Codify Standard are both $4.99/month; Revize has a 20-edit free allowance. They offer different workflows and rules. Compare the required feature tier and billing unit rather than a starting price alone.

### Can an app safely change an order after fulfillment starts?

Do not assume it can. Shopify restricts changes to fulfilled items, and connected fulfillment systems might not recognize edits. Test partial fulfillment and the warehouse cutoff with your actual provider before exposing an action to customers.

## Decision summary
