## TL;DR

- Check the theme first. **Prestige, Impact and Focal** document a built-in sticky add-to-cart option. You may already have the feature you need.
- In **133,357 domains** with successful full-store scans on October 26–27, 2026, **194** matched one of three selected sticky-bar identities. These are recorded storefront signals, not a census of installed apps or working bars.
- **175** of those matches used Codeinero's older identity. Its current **STKY** App Store page reported the app unavailable when checked on October 28. A common detected footprint does not establish availability for a new installation.
- On a live Powerplugs product page, **XB's bar appeared after scrolling**, and changing the capacity option changed its displayed price. Check that interaction alongside your main product form, cart drawer and required product fields.

---

Shopify sticky add to cart keeps a product's purchase control within reach as a shopper scrolls. Start by checking whether your theme can do it, then decide whether you need another variant selector, a mobile-only layout or a connection to an existing cart drawer.

We compared recent StoreInspect observations with current publisher documentation and one public product-page interaction. The useful result is a way to choose and inspect the implementation, rather than an app ranking based on detection counts alone.

## How We Collected This Data

We extracted the study on **October 28, 2026**, selecting each domain's most recent full-store scan that completed successfully from **October 26 at 01:00 Oslo to October 28 at 01:00 Oslo**, with the end excluded. We excluded records currently confirmed dead and required a recorded app list. **16,800 empty app lists** stayed in the denominator.

The resulting **133,357 stored domains** can include multiple storefronts owned by one business. A full scan describes our pipeline mode; it does not mean every product page was inspected. We matched exact names or slugs for three selected identities: Codeinero's sticky bar, XB and Stikio. Each domain counts once per identity and once in the combined result.

All **194 matches** came from recorded Shopify app-block references. Those references can exist even when a bar is disabled, appears only on another template or fails to render. Other apps, theme features and custom code are outside this count. Leftover references and mapping errors can inflate detections; limited page coverage can miss them. Detector versions were unrecorded, and we did not measure precision or recall independently.

This selected panel is heavily weighted toward stores in the lowest estimated traffic tier. Categories and traffic tiers come from store records at extraction, not merchant analytics. The research measures neither market share nor conversions, orders or subscription bills.

## Shopify Sticky Add to Cart: What We Detected

| Selected recorded identity | Matched domains | Share of the study panel |
|---|---:|---:|
| [Codeinero sticky bar](/apps/sticky-add-to-cart-bar), recorded as Sticky Add To Cart Bar | 175 | 0.131% |
| [XB: Sticky Add To Cart Button](https://apps.shopify.com/xb-sticky-add-to-cart) | 18 | 0.013% |
| [Stikio](https://apps.shopify.com/stikio-sticky-add-to-cart) | 1 | 0.001% |
| Any of these three identities | **194** | **0.145%** |

No domain matched more than one selected identity. The other **133,163 domains** could use another app, a theme feature, custom code or no sticky bar. Treating them as stores missing a purchase button would produce a poor prospect list.

The largest count also illustrates why an installation guide needs a separate availability check. On October 28, the [current Codeinero listing](https://apps.shopify.com/sticky-add-to-cart-bar) named **STKY - Sticky Add To Cart Bar** and said it was unavailable on the Shopify App Store. We verified that notice in a rendered browser. Older search results still showed Booster Pro plans and reviews.

We could not establish the reason, duration or implications for existing users. The 175 recorded references establish neither a working bar on those stores nor a reason to uninstall it. For a new project, confirm availability and support before quoting that product.

### The traffic breakdown limits the comparison

| Estimated monthly visits | Panel domains | Domains with a selected identity |
|---|---:|---:|
| Under 50K | 131,457 | 184 |
| 50K to 200K | 1,610 | 10 |
| 200K to 1M | 281 | 0 |
| 1M or more | 9 | 0 |

Only nine domains were in the highest grouped tier. These figures cannot tell you whether large Shopify stores prefer native bars, custom code or another app. They also cannot show that a sticky bar increased traffic.

## Shopify Sticky Add to Cart Without an App

[Maestrooo's documentation](https://support.maestrooo.com/article/806-sticky-add-to-cart) identifies a sticky product-page feature in [Prestige](/themes/prestige), [Impact](/themes/impact) and [Focal](/themes/focal). For a supported version, open the theme editor, select the relevant product template and inspect its **Product page** settings for **Show sticky add to cart**. The setting name can vary by theme.

Preview a duplicate theme before changing the published one. Check each product template you use, because a working default template says little about a subscription, bundle or personalized product template. The documentation itself suggests disabling the feature when products are complex.

| Your requirement | First option to inspect |
|---|---|
| Keep an ordinary product's purchase control visible | Existing theme setting |
| Adjust the placement or match an unusual product layout | A scoped theme change |
| Give staff device-specific layouts and display rules | An app with those documented controls |
| Combine a bar with cart offers or rewards | Existing cart tooling and its integration options |
| Collect engraving, uploads or other required inputs | The complete product form and its validation |

A **sticky add-to-cart bar** concerns the product being viewed. A **sticky cart icon** opens items already selected. A **cart drawer** displays those items and may offer additional products. Our [cart-drawer comparison](/blog/shopify-cart-drawer-apps) covers that separate buying decision.

## Shopify Sticky Add to Cart Apps to Compare

The following are current publisher-listed options, checked on **October 28, 2026**. These are workflow comparisons, not conversion-performance rankings. Prices are monthly USD where charged; free trials are separate from ongoing free plans.

| App | Displayed entry plan | What to verify for your store |
|---|---|---|
| [XB: Sticky Add To Cart Button](https://apps.shopify.com/xb-sticky-add-to-cart) | Listed as **Free** | Separate mobile/desktop controls, layout and product-form compatibility. We observed one public XB bar below. |
| [Uplinkly Sticky Cart](https://apps.shopify.com/sticky-cart-by-uplinkly) | Basic: **Free**, with unlimited visitors. Professional: **$9/month** | Which templates and reporting you need. Its Professional plan lists additional templates, reporting and countdown features. |
| [Buy Me: Sticky Add To Cart Bar](https://apps.shopify.com/mps-buy-me) | Free: **50 add-to-carts/month**. Small: **$2.95/month**, up to **250** | Its allowance counts add-to-carts, rather than visitors. Medium lists 750 at $4.95; Large lists unlimited at $6.95. Confirm how the vendor counts billable activity. |

A store's estimated visitor tier cannot determine its Buy Me bill. Likewise, a free listing cannot establish compatibility with your custom product form. Choose a candidate for a required behavior and test that behavior on a duplicate theme.

We did not install these apps, access merchant accounts or compare their performance. Multi-feature suites may also supply a bar, but detecting the suite alone would not prove that its sticky feature was enabled, so those suite counts are excluded from our three-identity study.

## A Live Variant-Picker Check at Powerplugs

[Powerplugs](https://www.powerplugs.nl/products/anker-solix-solarbank-max-ac) was in the study with an XB reference recorded on **October 27, 2026**. On October 28, we opened its Anker SOLIX Solarbank Max AC product page in a fresh browser and scrolled past the main purchase area.

A bottom bar appeared with the product name, price, capacity selector, quantity control and add-to-cart button. We then changed the bar's selected capacity from **7 kWh to 14 kWh**. Its current displayed price changed from **€1,999 to €3,698**, and the URL's selected variant changed. An Xboost-specific Shopify extension script corroborated the provider identity.

That confirms a visible bar and a local option/price interaction on this page. It does not confirm that the same selection reaches the cart or that the main product form stays synchronized. We did not press add to cart or enter checkout.

The example shows what an agency should inspect after finding an app reference: scroll to reveal the control, change an actual product option and compare the result with the original form. A screenshot of the initial bar alone would miss that work.

## Turn the Findings Into an Agency Inspection List

The study's largest matching categories were **Fashion: 52**, **Home & Garden: 31**, and **Beauty: 25**. Their panel denominators were **33,840**, **17,486** and **13,882** respectively. Those counts can help prioritize research in [fashion](/top-shopify-stores/fashion) or [home stores](/top-shopify-stores/home); they do not establish a need to replace existing tools.

Use [StoreInspect](/) to identify a relevant store and inspect the public workflow before proposing work. A useful offer describes an observed problem, such as a bar covering a size selector or failing to reflect an option change. An app reference or nonmatch alone does not establish either problem.

On a merchant-authorized duplicate theme, check:

1. **Scroll behavior:** does the bar appear when the original purchase control leaves view, and disappear when it returns?
2. **Product selection:** do size, color, price, availability and quantity agree between the bar, main form and cart? Include unavailable variants.
3. **Required inputs:** do [product options](/blog/best-shopify-product-options-apps), engraving fields, uploads and subscription choices survive the alternate purchase path?
4. **Mobile layout:** does the bar fit at 320px without hiding consent choices, chat controls, errors or the last lines of content?
5. **Keyboard behavior:** can a shopper reach the controls, see focus, select options and read any validation error?
6. **Cart integration:** does the existing drawer update correctly, with no duplicate items or competing drawers? Complete a test order only in the merchant's approved test setup.

To evaluate commercial value, compare completed purchases and revenue per eligible session with the bar enabled and disabled under a suitable test. A bar click is an interaction, not evidence of incremental revenue. Our [Shopify A/B testing guide](/blog/shopify-ab-testing) explains the measurement decision.

## FAQ

### Can I add a sticky add-to-cart button without an app?

Yes, if your theme supplies it or a developer implements it. Prestige, Impact and Focal document a native option. Check your exact theme version and product templates before paying for a separate app.

### Which Shopify sticky add-to-cart apps have a free plan?

On October 28, 2026, XB was listed as free. Uplinkly listed a free Basic plan with unlimited visitors. Buy Me listed a free allowance of 50 add-to-carts per month. Confirm current eligibility, limits and required features before installation.

### Is Sticky Add To Cart Booster Pro still available?

At the time of our October 28 check, its current Codeinero listing was named STKY - Sticky Add To Cart Bar and reported unavailable. Older plan tables and detected storefront references do not establish availability for a new installation. Contact the developer about existing-store support.

### Does a sticky add-to-cart bar improve conversion?

This study cannot establish that. We measured selected storefront references and observed one product-page interaction. A store needs its own valid comparison of purchase outcomes to establish an improvement; clicks or attributed orders alone do not measure the increase caused by the bar.

## Findings to Use Before Choosing

| Finding | What it changes for the decision |
|---|---|
| 194 domains matched three selected app identities | Use the results as a research pool; inspect the actual bar before making a claim about its behavior. |
| 175 matched Codeinero's older identity, whose current listing was unavailable | Verify installability and support separately from observed code. |
| Several themes document a native sticky control | Check the existing theme before adding another product-form integration. |
| Powerplugs' XB bar changed price with its selected capacity | Include real variant changes in the inspection, then verify the cart separately in an authorized test. |
