# App and pixel filters

> Find stores using or missing visible Shopify apps, pixels, and marketing technology.

App and pixel filters turn public storefront technology into prospecting segments.

## App filters

| Filter       | Best for                                                      |
| ------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Has App      | Find stores where StoreInspect detected a visible app signal. |
| Excludes App | Find stores where StoreInspect did not detect a specific app. |

Examples:

* Stores using Klaviyo but missing a visible reviews app.
* Stores using a competitor app.
* Stores missing a subscription, loyalty, UGC, reviews, or attribution layer.

## Pixel filters

| Filter         | Best for                                                 |
| -------------- | -------------------------------------------------------- |
| Has Pixel      | Find stores with visible tracking or advertising pixels. |
| Excludes Pixel | Find stores missing a visible tracking signal.           |

Examples:

* Stores with Meta Pixel and TikTok Pixel for paid-media research.
* Stores with analytics tags but no visible lifecycle marketing app.
* Stores missing a conversion or attribution signal.

## Ad spend caveat

StoreInspect does not show exact ad spend. Public data can indicate advertising readiness, but it cannot reliably reveal how much a company spends.

Proxy signals include:

* Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, Google Ads, and analytics pixels.
* Public active-ad signals when available.
* Traffic tier, revenue tier, Shopify Plus, app stack, and contact roles.

  Backend-only apps or private integrations may not expose storefront signals. A missing detection is a research clue, not absolute proof.
