# Revenue and traffic filters

> Read Monthly Revenue and Monthly Traffic as account-size tiers, not exact numbers.

Monthly Revenue and Monthly Traffic are account-size filters. They can help rank accounts, but they are not Shopify admin, analytics, or accounting numbers.

## Monthly Revenue

Monthly Revenue is an estimated monthly revenue tier. It separates smaller stores from larger accounts that may have more budget and operational complexity.

Revenue tier works well for:

* Prioritize stores likely to have budget for an agency, app, or service.
* Exclude smaller stores from an outbound segment.
* Combine account size with app, pixel, Shopify Plus, and contact signals.

Do not use revenue estimates as exact sales claims in outreach.

## Monthly Traffic

Monthly Traffic is an estimated visit tier. It compares relative store popularity and helps rank accounts with more marketing, conversion, or operational needs.

Traffic tier works well for:

* Find higher-demand stores for paid media, CRO, email, analytics, or attribution offers.
* Find emerging stores by using lower tiers with founder or owner contacts.
* Combine traffic with revenue and tech stack signals.

## Why estimates can be wrong

* Seasonality and promotions can change traffic and revenue quickly.
* Stores may have wholesale, marketplace, retail, subscription, or non-storefront revenue.
* Public data does not include first-party analytics or Shopify admin data.

<Warning>
Treat revenue and traffic as directional qualification signals. Do not present them as exact company numbers.
