# Microsoft Excel add-in

> Search and enrich Shopify companies and reveal selected decision-makers from an Excel workbook.

StoreInspect for Excel brings Shopify company and contact intelligence into
Microsoft Excel. The add-in is available on paid StoreInspect plans.

  public listing is available, installation is limited to sideloaded test
  accounts.

## Connect StoreInspect

1. Open StoreInspect from the **Home** ribbon in Excel.
2. Click **Connect account** in the task pane.
3. Sign in to StoreInspect and approve the requested access.
4. Return to Excel after the authorization window closes.

The add-in uses StoreInspect OAuth with PKCE. You do not need to create or paste
an API key.

## Search Shopify stores

1. Open the **Stores** tab.
2. Add at least one filter, such as country, category, traffic tier, estimated
   revenue tier, Shopify Plus, technology, or contact availability.
3. Choose the number of rows.
4. Click **Find Shopify stores**.

Results are written to a new StoreInspect worksheet and Excel table. If another
page is available, click **Load more** to append it to the same table.

## Search contacts

Use the **Contacts** tab to find masked decision-maker previews by role,
seniority, store domain, country, or channel availability.

Contact previews include StoreInspect contact IDs and availability signals.
They do not expose private email addresses, phone numbers, or profile URLs
until you explicitly reveal the contacts.

## Enrich selected domains

1. Select up to 25 cells containing store domains or URLs.
2. Open **Selected cells** in the task pane.
3. Choose whether to include masked contact previews.
4. Click **Enrich selected domains**.

The add-in creates a new StoreInspect table containing the input status, store
profile, traffic and revenue tiers, Shopify Plus status, technologies, lead fit
score, and contact availability.

## Reveal selected contacts

1. Select up to 10 cells containing StoreInspect contact IDs.
2. Click **Review contact reveal**.
3. Review the number of contacts and potential credit use.
4. Click **Confirm reveal**.

New contact reveals use StoreInspect contact credits. Contacts already revealed
for your account do not spend another credit. Revealed data is written to a new
StoreInspect table.

## Workbook access

The add-in requests read and write access to the current workbook so it can:

* read cells that you explicitly select;
* create new StoreInspect worksheets and tables;
* append another page to the StoreInspect table created for that search.

It does not request Microsoft Graph, OneDrive, mailbox, contacts, or access to
other workbooks. StoreInspect OAuth tokens are stored in the task pane's
StoreInspect origin storage and are never written to the workbook.

## Data safety

* Returned text that could execute as a spreadsheet formula is written as text.
* Contact previews remain masked until an explicit credit confirmation.
* Search and reveal output is isolated in StoreInspect-owned tables.
* Revealed contact channels should be treated as sensitive business data.

## Disconnect

Click **Disconnect** in the StoreInspect task pane. The add-in removes its local
OAuth tokens and attempts to revoke them with StoreInspect.

Existing workbook data remains unchanged.

## Troubleshooting

* **StoreInspect command missing:** Confirm the add-in is installed, then reopen
  the workbook.
* **Connection expired:** Connect the StoreInspect account again.
* **No positive filter:** Add at least one store or contact filter.
* **Selection not recognized:** Select domain cells or StoreInspect contact ID
  cells in the current workbook.
* **Rate limit reached:** Wait briefly before running the next request.
* **Insufficient credits:** Add credits or change the StoreInspect plan before
  revealing new contacts.

Include the StoreInspect request ID shown by an error when contacting support.
