The add-in is being prepared for Microsoft Marketplace review. Until the
public listing is available, installation is limited to sideloaded test
accounts.
Connect StoreInspect
- Open StoreInspect from the Home ribbon in Excel.
- Click Connect account in the task pane.
- Sign in to StoreInspect and approve the requested access.
- Return to Excel after the authorization window closes.
Search Shopify stores
- Open the Stores tab.
- Add at least one filter, such as country, category, traffic tier, estimated revenue tier, Shopify Plus, technology, or contact availability.
- Choose the number of rows.
- Click Find Shopify stores.
Search contacts
Use the Contacts tab to find masked decision-maker previews by role, seniority, store domain, country, or channel availability. Contact previews include StoreInspect contact IDs and availability signals. They do not expose private email addresses, phone numbers, or profile URLs until you explicitly reveal the contacts.Enrich selected domains
- Select up to 25 cells containing store domains or URLs.
- Open Selected cells in the task pane.
- Choose whether to include masked contact previews.
- Click Enrich selected domains.
Reveal selected contacts
- Select up to 10 cells containing StoreInspect contact IDs.
- Click Review contact reveal.
- Review the number of contacts and potential credit use.
- Click Confirm reveal.
Workbook access
The add-in requests read and write access to the current workbook so it can:- read cells that you explicitly select;
- create new StoreInspect worksheets and tables;
- append another page to the StoreInspect table created for that search.
Data safety
- Returned text that could execute as a spreadsheet formula is written as text.
- Contact previews remain masked until an explicit credit confirmation.
- Search and reveal output is isolated in StoreInspect-owned tables.
- Revealed contact channels should be treated as sensitive business data.
Disconnect
Click Disconnect in the StoreInspect task pane. The add-in removes its local OAuth tokens and attempts to revoke them with StoreInspect. Existing workbook data remains unchanged.Troubleshooting
- StoreInspect command missing: Confirm the add-in is installed, then reopen the workbook.
- Connection expired: Connect the StoreInspect account again.
- No positive filter: Add at least one store or contact filter.
- Selection not recognized: Select domain cells or StoreInspect contact ID cells in the current workbook.
- Rate limit reached: Wait briefly before running the next request.
- Insufficient credits: Add credits or change the StoreInspect plan before revealing new contacts.
