Before you connect
Create a dedicated API key in Woodpecker under Integrations > API Keys. Woodpecker keys inherit the account user’s API permissions; they are not restricted to prospect imports. StoreInspect uses the key only to verify the account, find existing prospects and import new prospects into the global database. StoreInspect does not enroll prospects in campaigns, change suppression statuses or send emails. Check any separate automation you already run in Woodpecker before importing prospects. Workspace owners and admins manage connections. Each Woodpecker account can be connected to one StoreInspect account or workspace at a time.Connect Woodpecker
- Open Settings > Integrations > Woodpecker in StoreInspect.
- Select Connect account and enter the dedicated Woodpecker API key.
- Review the snippet mapping below and confirm that it suits your campaign templates.
- Select Connect account. StoreInspect verifies the key and displays the connected account name.
Import contacts
- Select stores or contacts and open Export.
- Choose Woodpecker and the destination account if more than one is connected.
- Choose the contact roles and number of contacts per store. Review Snippet mapping.
- Select Send to Woodpecker to import contacts already revealed to you, or Reveal & send to Woodpecker to approve new reveals using contact credits.
Matching and duplicates
StoreInspect matches prospects by exact email. Existing prospects are skipped, including blacklisted, bounced, invalid and replied prospects. Their fields, snippets, suppression status and campaign membership remain unchanged. If a create response is lost, StoreInspect keeps a durable pending record and checks the exact email before retrying. If the outcome cannot be confirmed, the contact is reported as failed for review. It is not created again automatically. Contacts without an eligible revealed email are skipped. The activity view distinguishes imported, skipped and failed counts. Existing matches are included in the skipped count.Prospect fields and snippets
New prospects include available first name, last name, email, phone, LinkedIn URL, job title, company name, website, category and location. Missing optional values are omitted. The connection requires confirmation of this fixed mapping for new prospects:
Snippet text is HTML escaped. Data comes from StoreInspect’s index; detections and estimates may be incomplete or outdated. Existing prospects are never updated to apply this mapping.
