Matching and preservation
Update the right page without taking over your workspace
StoreInspect uses narrow matching rules and writes only to properties in its dedicated databases.
Durable source identity
Dedicated StoreInspect IDs let later exports reuse records created by earlier syncs.
Exact fallback matching
Companies match by normalized domain and contacts match by normalized email address.
Your workspace stays yours
Unrelated pages, databases, and user-added properties are never modified.
Retries fail safely
Multiple matches or uncertain creates are reconciled instead of silently choosing or duplicating a record.
OAuth permissions
Scoped to the export you start
StoreInspect requests read, insert, and update content capabilities to identify your workspace, provision its databases, reconcile pages, and send only the records you select.
Disconnecting removes StoreInspect's locally stored OAuth credentials and revokes the Notion authorization. Existing databases and pages remain unchanged.
FAQ
Notion integration questions
What teams usually want to confirm before connecting StoreInspect.
What does StoreInspect create in Notion?
StoreInspect creates two workspace-level databases named StoreInspect Companies and StoreInspect Contacts. Selected Shopify companies and eligible revealed decision-makers become pages in those databases, with contacts related to their company.
How does StoreInspect prevent duplicate records?
StoreInspect first reuses its durable page link and dedicated source ID. It then matches companies by exact domain and contacts by exact email address. Multiple matches fail safely instead of selecting an arbitrary page.
Will StoreInspect overwrite my other Notion content?
No. StoreInspect writes only to the properties it creates in its dedicated databases. User-added properties and unrelated pages or databases remain unchanged.
Does the Notion integration cost extra?
The integration is included with paid StoreInspect plans. New contact reveals use StoreInspect contact credits, while contacts already revealed for your account do not use another credit.
What happens when I disconnect Notion?
StoreInspect removes its locally stored OAuth credentials and revokes the Notion authorization. Databases and pages already created in Notion remain unchanged.
Where are the databases created?
Notion places workspace-level databases created by an integration in the authorizing user's Private section. You can move or organize them in Notion after setup.
