Best CRM for Shopify: 864K App Study
Best CRM for Shopify data from 864K stores. Compare top Shopify CRM apps by adoption, HubSpot integration caveats, and CRM prospecting gaps using live signals.
Best Shopify apps for electronics stores, based on 27,862 stores. Search/filter adoption is only 0.6%, despite 4,275-product catalogs at 50K-200K traffic.

The best Shopify apps for electronics stores need to solve catalog search, product trust, financing, support, and restock workflows, not just generic ecommerce automation.
Some links in this article are affiliate links. We may earn a commission if you purchase through them, at no extra cost to you. We only recommend tools we've actually tested.
That makes electronics different from beauty, food, or fashion.
Electronics shoppers compare specs, read reviews, check compatibility, wait for restocks, ask pre-purchase questions, and often research the same product across several retailers before buying. A generic "install email, reviews, and upsells" list misses the real issue: electronics stores have large catalogs and high-consideration purchases, but most still run a thin storefront app stack.
We scanned 27,862 Shopify electronics stores, pulled their visible apps, pixels, themes, traffic tiers, product counts, and contact signals, then compared electronics against adjacent catalog-heavy verticals like Home & Garden, Hobby, Automotive, Hardware & Tools, and Outdoor & Adventure.
This is part of our vertical app series, alongside fashion, beauty, food, home, health, sports, jewelry, and pet stores.
We used StoreInspect's detection engine to scan stores categorized as Electronics. The scanner detects apps from storefront JavaScript signatures, script URLs, Shopify objects, DOM patterns, tracking pixels, and theme signals.
| Traffic tier | Stores | Avg Apps | Avg Pixels | Avg Products | Avg Score | Contactable |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Under 50K | 18,525 | 3.1 | 4.5 | 1,516 | 61.5 | 72.5% |
| 50K-200K | 8,851 | 7.5 | 9.8 | 4,275 | 95.6 | 83.6% |
| 200K-1M | 482 | 9.6 | 12.8 | 5,968 | 98.0 | 89.6% |
| 1M+ | 4 | 6.8 | 17.3 | 17,574 | 98.8 | 100.0% |
Limitations: StoreInspect detects visible storefront apps. Backend-only tools, private apps, ERP systems, inventory systems, product feed tools, warranty systems, and apps that render entirely server-side may not expose detectable signatures. Treat those categories as lower-bound estimates. The 1M+ tier has only 4 stores, so use that row as directional context, not a benchmark.
Electronics looks different from most Shopify categories because catalog depth is high and app investment is moderate.
| Vertical | Stores | Avg Apps | Avg Pixels | Avg Products | Avg Score | Contactable |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Automotive | 15,629 | 4.6 | 6.1 | 6,541 | 73.4 | 77.0% |
| Hardware & Tools | 22,912 | 5.0 | 6.8 | 3,377 | 74.9 | 80.1% |
| Hobby | 56,189 | 4.3 | 5.3 | 2,553 | 69.0 | 73.2% |
| Electronics | 27,862 | 4.6 | 6.3 | 2,472 | 72.9 | 76.3% |
| Outdoor & Adventure | 29,738 | 5.0 | 6.5 | 1,213 | 74.1 | 75.0% |
| Home & Garden | 153,258 | 5.0 | 6.3 | 1,150 | 74.2 | 76.6% |
| Baby & Kids | 14,611 | 5.0 | 6.7 | 1,124 | 75.8 | 77.4% |
The closest comparison is not Fashion or Beauty. It is Automotive, Hardware, Hobby, and Home. These are categories where customers need filters, compatibility checks, clear product specs, support, financing, reviews, and post-purchase communication.
That lines up with our Shopify agency niche guide, which identified electronics as an overlooked niche with high contact accessibility. It also matches our broader Shopify service gap study, where electronics showed wide gaps in email, reviews, and support.
Excluding payment processors, these are the most-detected apps across the 27,862 electronics stores we analyzed:
| Rank | App | Category | Electronics Stores | Adoption |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Cart Drawer | Cart | 6,064 | 21.8% |
| 2 | Judge.me | Reviews | 4,785 | 17.2% |
| 3 | Klaviyo | Email Marketing | 3,459 | 12.4% |
| 4 | Auto Currency Switcher | Currency | 2,400 | 8.6% |
| 5 | Mailchimp | Email Marketing | 1,717 | 6.2% |
| 6 | WhatsApp Business Chat | Support | 1,699 | 6.1% |
| 7 | Retention.com | Email Capture | 1,536 | 5.5% |
| 8 | PageFly | Page Builder | 1,340 | 4.8% |
| 9 | PushOwl | Notifications | 1,237 | 4.4% |
| 10 | Ada | Support | 997 | 3.6% |
| 11 | Free Shipping Bar | Popup | 853 | 3.1% |
| 12 | Instafeed | 824 | 3.0% | |
| 13 | Avada Trust Badges | Social Proof | 707 | 2.5% |
| 14 | Omnisend | Email Marketing | 662 | 2.4% |
| 15 | WhatsApp Chat | Support | 642 | 2.3% |
Electronics stores care about cart mechanics, reviews, email, currency, support, product pages, notifications, and trust badges. That is exactly what you would expect in a category where shoppers ask, "Is this compatible? Is this real? Will it arrive on time? What happens if it breaks?"
The surprise is what does not appear near the top. Search apps, wishlists, BNPL apps, back-in-stock apps, and analytics apps are all underused relative to the way people shop for electronics.
These are the missing app categories that matter most for electronics:
| Category | Missing Stores | % Without |
|---|---|---|
| Search and filters | 27,699 | 99.4% |
| Wishlist | 27,515 | 98.8% |
| Analytics | 26,848 | 96.4% |
| Back in stock | 26,381 | 94.7% |
| BNPL | 25,841 | 92.7% |
| Support | 23,647 | 84.9% |
| Email marketing | 21,379 | 76.7% |
| Reviews | 21,149 | 75.9% |
| Upsell | 20,561 | 73.8% |
The search gap is the cleanest electronics-specific finding. Electronics stores average 2,472 products. Stores in the 50K-200K traffic tier average 4,275 products. Yet only 0.6% show a detected search app.
Shopify's App Store has a full search and filter app category, with products like Boost Product Filter & Search, Searchanise, Shopify Search & Discovery, and Algolia. Shopify's own electronics selling page points merchants toward marketing, analytics, Facebook/Instagram, Google/YouTube, and product review tooling. The gap is not lack of app supply. It is adoption.
For agencies, that matters because the pitch is concrete: "You have thousands of products and meaningful traffic, but customers still have to browse like it is a small catalog."
Search is the first category I would evaluate for any electronics store with a large catalog.
| App | Electronics Stores | Adoption |
|---|---|---|
| Boost Product Filter & Search | 86 | 0.3% |
| Doofinder | 49 | 0.2% |
| Algolia | 15 | 0.1% |
| Fast Simon | 7 | less than 0.1% |
The low numbers need context. Search apps often render server-side or through theme integrations that storefront scanners cannot always detect. Our broader Shopify search app study found the same issue: App Store install counts are much higher than frontend detections.
Still, the electronics-specific gap is real enough to act on. Only 1.3% of electronics stores in the 50K-200K tier show a search app, and that tier averages 4,275 products.
Search matters more in electronics because product discovery is technical. Customers filter by brand, model, connector, storage size, wattage, voltage, compatibility, generation, color, refurbished condition, and price. Poor filtering creates friction before the product page can convert.
Use Doofinder, Algolia, Searchanise, Boost, or Shopify Search & Discovery based on catalog size and developer capacity. For a full category comparison, read our best Shopify search apps study.
Reviews are the most important trust layer in electronics.
| App | Electronics Stores | Adoption |
|---|---|---|
| Judge.me | 4,785 | 17.2% |
| Trustpilot | 449 | 1.6% |
| Loox | 419 | 1.5% |
| Stamped.io | 241 | 0.9% |
Judge.me is the clear leader. It has enough adoption to be the default recommendation for smaller electronics stores that need structured product reviews without enterprise pricing.
Loox and Stamped.io make more sense when photos, Q&A, loyalty, or richer review workflows matter. Yotpo Reviews is also a natural fit for electronics brands that want a broader reviews, loyalty, SMS, and UGC ecosystem.
The gap is large: 75.9% of electronics stores have no detected review app. For high-ticket electronics, that is hard to defend. Shoppers want proof around battery life, build quality, warranty handling, packaging, compatibility, refurbishment quality, and support response.
For a broader category view, see our best Shopify review apps study.
Electronics stores under-adopt email compared with the Shopify average.
Across electronics stores, email marketing adoption is 22.2%, compared with 30.4% across all stores in this dataset. That means 76.7% of electronics stores have no detected email marketing app.
That gap makes sense, but it is still a problem. Electronics is often lower frequency than beauty or food, so merchants may under-prioritize lifecycle marketing. Email still supports abandoned cart, browse abandonment, price drop alerts, back-in-stock alerts, accessory recommendations, warranty education, setup guides, and post-purchase onboarding.
Klaviyo is the best fit once segmentation matters. Mailchimp remains common among smaller stores. Omnisend is a good fit when a store wants email plus SMS without stitching together multiple tools.
For more app-level detail, read our best Shopify email marketing apps study.
Support is one of the few categories where electronics over-indexes.
| App | Electronics Stores | Adoption |
|---|---|---|
| WhatsApp Business Chat | 1,699 | 6.1% |
| Ada | 997 | 3.6% |
| WhatsApp Chat | 642 | 2.3% |
| Tidio | 509 | 1.8% |
Support adoption is 15.1% in electronics vs. 12.3% across all stores. Electronics shoppers need compatibility help, model matching, warranty terms, return rules, setup guidance, and shipping expectations. Support is not only a cost center here. It is a conversion surface.
For smaller stores, Tidio is a practical entry point because chat and simple automation cover many pre-purchase questions. For larger stores, Gorgias, Zendesk, or Re:amaze make more sense because electronics support usually touches order history, returns, warranties, shipping exceptions, and product troubleshooting.
See our best Shopify customer support apps study for the full category breakdown.
Only 7.3% of electronics stores show a detected BNPL app. That leaves 92.7% without a visible third-party installment option.
Electronics is one of the categories where BNPL makes intuitive sense. The purchase is often high-AOV, comparison-heavy, and price-sensitive. A customer buying a laptop, phone, refurbished device, camera, audio system, gaming accessory bundle, or home security kit may be willing to buy now if the payment terms reduce the upfront hit.
Afterpay, Klarna, Affirm, and Sezzle are the most common tools to evaluate. The right choice depends heavily on geography and target customer. In the United States, Affirm and Klarna often fit higher-ticket purchases. In fashion and lifestyle categories, Afterpay has stronger brand pull. For electronics, test by AOV band rather than app popularity.
Our Shopify BNPL app study found electronics is one of the most obvious categories where adoption trails buyer behavior.
Upsell adoption looks higher in electronics than in some verticals because Cart Drawer is common, but the category still has a large gap.
| App | Electronics Stores | Adoption |
|---|---|---|
| Cart Drawer | 6,064 | 21.8% |
| BOGOS | 454 | 1.6% |
| Frequently Bought Together | 316 | 1.1% |
| Kaching Bundles | 280 | 1.0% |
| Bold Upsell | 201 | 0.7% |
Electronics should be a strong upsell category. Accessories are natural add-ons: cases, cables, chargers, screen protectors, mounts, batteries, memory cards, docks, adapters, subscriptions, and warranties.
Yet 73.8% of electronics stores have no detected upsell app. Among 50K+ stores that already have reviews, 2,157 still have no upsell app. That is a clean CRO prospect pool.
Rebuy, Frequently Bought Together, Kaching Bundles, Bold Upsell, and cart drawer tools all fit different levels of complexity. For brands that want a serious recommendation layer, Rebuy is the stronger option. For smaller stores, bundle and frequently-bought-together tools may be enough.
For the full category, read our best Shopify upsell apps study.
Only 5.3% of electronics stores show a notifications category app, and only 0.8% show Back in Stock specifically.
| App | Electronics Stores | Adoption |
|---|---|---|
| PushOwl | 1,237 | 4.4% |
| Back in Stock | 232 | 0.8% |
Back-in-stock and restock alerts matter in electronics because inventory volatility is common. Popular colors, models, SKUs, refurbished grades, limited drops, and replacement parts go out of stock. A customer who cannot buy today should not disappear into paid search again tomorrow.
The data shows 8,297 electronics stores with 50K+ traffic and no detected back-in-stock app. That is the largest 50K+ prospect pool in this study.
For a broader market view, see our best Shopify back-in-stock apps study.
Electronics stores are not pixel-poor. They average 6.3 visible pixels, and 50K-200K stores average 9.8 pixels. The app layer is thinner than the tracking layer.
| Pixel | Electronics Stores | Adoption |
|---|---|---|
| Shopify Web Pixel | 27,604 | 99.1% |
| Google Analytics 4 | 15,709 | 56.4% |
| Google Tag Manager | 12,164 | 43.7% |
| Google Ads | 8,929 | 32.0% |
| Meta Pixel | 8,413 | 30.2% |
| Google Merchant Center | 6,757 | 24.3% |
| TikTok Pixel | 2,727 | 9.8% |
Only 3.6% of electronics stores show an analytics app, and 96.4% do not. At the 200K-1M tier, analytics app adoption rises to 18.3%, but that still leaves most stores relying on native Shopify analytics, GA4, ad platform dashboards, and spreadsheets.
That is risky for electronics because paid traffic is often split across Google Shopping, search ads, retargeting, marketplaces, comparison shopping, and social ads. Triple Whale, Elevar, Northbeam, Littledata, Lucky Orange, and Microsoft Clarity solve different parts of that problem.
For the category-level view, read our best Shopify analytics apps study. For CRO workflows, pair analytics with our Shopify CRO checklist.
Electronics theme choice reflects the same catalog problem.
| Theme | Stores | Avg Apps | Avg Products | Avg Score |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Dawn | 5,442 | 4.8 | 1,582 | 68.0 |
| Debut | 1,851 | 2.7 | 720 | 54.6 |
| Horizon | 1,185 | 3.1 | 428 | 55.2 |
| Refresh | 797 | 4.9 | 854 | 69.4 |
| Warehouse | 733 | 5.4 | 5,280 | 84.0 |
| Custom | 580 | 3.1 | 2,336 | 72.0 |
| Impact | 535 | 6.9 | 3,252 | 87.2 |
| Spotlight | 508 | 4.6 | 961 | 63.1 |
| Supply | 463 | 2.9 | 3,473 | 59.7 |
| Empire | 442 | 5.6 | 6,266 | 83.2 |
| Impulse | 432 | 5.6 | 1,406 | 82.6 |
| Prestige | 349 | 6.0 | 3,263 | 83.6 |
Dawn leads by raw count, but Warehouse and Empire are the more interesting electronics signals. Warehouse stores average 5,280 products. Empire stores average 6,266 products. Both are catalog-first themes, which makes sense for electronics stores with broad SKU depth.
For more theme context, read our Shopify theme performance study and most popular Shopify themes report.
Start with trust, product clarity, and retention:
| Need | Recommended apps |
|---|---|
| Reviews | Judge.me, Loox, or Stamped.io |
| Klaviyo, Mailchimp, or Omnisend | |
| Support | Tidio or WhatsApp chat |
| Cart | Cart Drawer or a lightweight bundle app |
| Analytics | Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, and Microsoft Clarity |
Do not overbuild the stack before the store has traffic. For stores under 50K traffic, the first goal is to make product pages credible and capture demand that does not convert on the first visit.
At 50K-200K traffic, the stack changes. This tier averages 7.5 apps, 9.8 pixels, and 4,275 products.
| Need | Recommended apps |
|---|---|
| Search and filters | Doofinder, Algolia, Searchanise, Boost, or Shopify Search & Discovery |
| Reviews | Judge.me, Loox, Stamped.io, or Yotpo Reviews |
| Support | Gorgias, Tidio, Zendesk, or Re:amaze |
| BNPL | Afterpay, Klarna, Affirm, or Sezzle |
| Restock | Back in Stock or PushOwl |
| Upsell | Rebuy, Frequently Bought Together, Kaching Bundles, or Bold Upsell |
This is where electronics stores should stop behaving like simple catalogs. The core work is product discovery, proof, financing, and support.
At 200K-1M traffic, electronics stores average 9.6 apps, 12.8 pixels, and 5,968 products. Search, support, analytics, and operations become more important than adding another simple popup.
Prioritize:
For broader growth-stage context, see our Shopify tech stack by growth stage study.
If you sell to Shopify merchants, electronics is a strong vertical because the pain is easy to identify and the contact coverage is high. 76.3% of electronics stores in this dataset had at least one contact, and 83.6% of 50K-200K stores were contactable.
| Offer | Prospect segment | Stores | Contactable |
|---|---|---|---|
| Restock alerts | 50K+ traffic, no back-in-stock app | 8,297 | 6,965 |
| Financing | 50K+ traffic, no BNPL app | 8,102 | 6,761 |
| Reviews/CRO | 50K+ traffic, no reviews app | 5,485 | 4,522 |
| Support ops | 50K+ traffic, 5+ apps, no support app | 4,759 | 4,009 |
| Analytics | 50K+ traffic, Google Ads or Merchant, no analytics app | 3,850 | 3,260 |
| Product discovery | 50K+ traffic, 500+ products, no search app | 3,309 | 2,832 |
| Retention | 50K+ traffic, Meta or TikTok pixel, no email app | 3,308 | 2,770 |
| Accessory AOV | 50K+ traffic, reviews app, no upsell app | 2,157 | 1,867 |
The cleanest agency pitches are specific: "You have 3,000 products, Google Shopping traffic, and no detected search or filter app. Customers are probably bouncing before they find the right model."
That is the advantage of using app and category signals together. You can build these filters in the StoreInspect dashboard, export the list, then personalize outreach with real gaps. For more workflows, see how to find Shopify stores by app, Shopify CRO agency leads, and Shopify SEO agency leads.
The best Shopify apps for electronics stores are search and filter apps, review apps, email marketing apps, support apps, BNPL apps, back-in-stock apps, upsell apps, and analytics apps. In our 27,862-store dataset, the most common non-payment apps were Cart Drawer, Judge.me, Klaviyo, Auto Currency Switcher, Mailchimp, WhatsApp Business Chat, Retention.com, PageFly, PushOwl, and Ada.
Electronics stores with large catalogs usually need better search and filtering than a small Shopify store. The average electronics store in this study had 2,472 products, while 50K-200K traffic stores averaged 4,275 products. Only 0.6% had a detected search app, which makes search the biggest electronics-specific app gap.
Electronics purchases are often less frequent than beauty, food, or pet purchases, so merchants may underinvest in lifecycle marketing. That is still a mistake. Electronics email can drive abandoned cart recovery, product education, compatibility guidance, price-drop alerts, restock alerts, accessory recommendations, and warranty education.
Judge.me is the most common detected review app in electronics stores, with 4,785 installs and 17.2% adoption. Trustpilot, Loox, and Stamped.io follow at much smaller shares.
BNPL is a strong fit for electronics because many purchases are high-AOV and price-sensitive. In our data, 92.7% of electronics stores had no detected BNPL app. Afterpay, Klarna, Affirm, and Sezzle are the main options to evaluate by geography and AOV.
For small electronics stores, Tidio or WhatsApp chat can handle common pre-purchase questions. For larger stores, Gorgias, Zendesk, or Re:amaze make more sense because electronics support often needs order context, product troubleshooting, return handling, and warranty workflows.
Dawn is the most common electronics theme by raw count. For large catalogs, Warehouse and Empire are more interesting because stores using those themes average 5,280 and 6,266 products respectively in our dataset.
21,149 electronics stores, or 75.9% of the dataset, had no detected review app. That is a major conversion gap because electronics shoppers rely on proof around specs, quality, compatibility, delivery, and support.
The best filters are category, traffic tier, product count, and missing app category. For example, target electronics stores with 50K+ traffic, 500+ products, and no search app. Or target stores with Google Ads or Google Merchant Center pixels but no analytics app. StoreInspect supports these filters in the dashboard.
StoreInspect detects visible apps, themes, pixels, traffic tiers, product counts, Shopify Plus signals, and contact availability. It does not reliably detect backend-only systems like ERP, inventory planning, product feed management, private apps, warranty claim systems, or support workflows that never load on the storefront.
